The executive committee hopes that this issue of the news finds you and yours safe and healthy.

We currently have 45 members on the roster that have not paid dues for 2008.  This represents over $500 in revenue that the club needs to survive.  It is easy to forget to take care of this payment.  It is with reluctance that this reminder is written.
Please take a moment to check to see that you have paid your duesIt is hoped that you find the club and its activities of value and you wish to continue your support.   If that is not the case, just let us know so we can remove your  listing from the membership roster.

Contact  Treasurer: Richard Dalke 302-5102, to confirm your membership status.

Thank you for your consideration .

Wichita Show…….
OCWC
was well represented at the recent Wichita show.  Ron Schessl took three blues, and three reds.  James Hooper took two reds and one white.   Steve Brandt took two whites.  Stay tuned, next months news will feature more details and maybe some pictures.

At our meeting on March 24th we discussed:

The brochure will have six pages, is in progress being made at this time.

The ribbons for the fall show are being purchased.

We will have a sponsor board at the show with a minimum of $100.00 donation.

We decided on three tickets for the show, one for the door (which will include the door prize), second ticket is for door prize only—no entry and third ticket is for the raffle.

Our dinner after the show will be held at the hometownbuffet at NW 63rd and the NW Expressway.

The limit of two persons per table displaying items.

We are going to make three friendship canes.  The wood will be handed out at the next monthly meeting on April 14th.

The 26th of April there is a carve-in at Shawnee at the Train Depot.  Also you can display your art work at the carve-in in Shawnee beginning April 1st.

Want to see your shop get national magazine exposure?

Do you have the kind of shop other woodworkers like to visit? Is your shop filled with clever ideas that help you work smarter, faster, or safer? Have you designed and built special tool racks, machine bases, cabinets, jigs, or other shop helpers you think your fellow woodworkers would find interesting? If so, the editors at WOOD magazine invite you to submit your workshop or individual shop projects for review and possible publication in future editions of America’s Best Home Workshops. Your shop doesn’t have to be big or nit-picky clean. The ideas could be storage solutions, task-specific jigs, shop tips, or the special way you designed, built, and outfitted your shop. Mail your entry to America’s Best Home Workshops, WOOD Magazine, 1716 Locust St., LS-221, Des Moines, IA 50309, or go online at woodmagazine.com/homeshops.
