October 18 & 19, 2008!!!

The Oklahoma City Wood Carvers club, invites you to join our show for 2008 to be held at the Oklahoma City State Fair Grounds in the Centennial Building.  You can show, sell, carve, visit, and share ideas.

The judge for 2008 will be Desiree Hajny.

Special guests for 2008 include Woodturning and Scroll saw Artists.  These artists will have their own competition and their own judges in addition to the woodcarvers.  Any registered participant can take part in all activities.

There will be cash prizes for Best of Show, First Runner Up, Second Runner Up, Six Best of Group Awards, Best Table Display, Chairman's Choice and the traditional Whittlers Contest.

Desiree Hajny’s 2nd seminar has openings.  Oct. 23—25. Desiree Hajny has been involved in the arts for the past twenty-eight years, as a teacher in both the public and private sectors, as the author of six books, as a contributor to 7 others, and contributing editor to several periodicals in the United States and Europe. Desiree has been creating wood sculptures of mammal’s full time since 1985.  On the web, go to this link to learn more.
