Shawnee Cowboys, Indians & Outlaws meet every Thursday and carve on what anyone wants to carve on.  We're still carving flutes and we've done an Indian bear claw necklace, we make name tags, even ornaments.  You name it and we do it.  And of course we do lots of socializing.  Our whole group in Shawnee are talkers (not just me), we share things, help each other out & have become one big happy family.    We started out just twice a month, but the interest gained momentum, and here we are every Thursday just laughing, having fun, and sometimes we get some carving done.  JoAnn Cox

Desiree Hajny’s classes
Our judge will be teaching two three-day seminars and we will need to let her know well in advance which projects we would like to have her include.  We expect to pick a single study for each class.  Chuck plans to bring pictures of choices to the June meeting for your consideration.  Current expectations are that tuition, which includes the carving blank, will be in the $200 range. Each 3 day session cost is $2025.  If we have 12 per session sign up, the individual cost will be, $168.75.  If we have only 10 per session the individual cost will be, $202.50.  To sign up, a deposit of $100.00 by 9/1/2008 will reserve your position for the seminar.

It is expected that one choice will be a buffalo wall hanging. This is a carving consisting of several buffalo heads carved partially in relief and partially in the round. For those with internet access, be sure to review the web site links:
