Notes From Secretary Melton · We are putting the final touches on the show. It’s not to late to get involved. Buy your tickets now! · Those of you who are finishing up you contributions for the hourly door prizes at the show, need to bring them to the Oct. 13 general meeting. · Volunteers are needed for purchase award for show first come first served. · Nominations for club officers for 2009 will be made at the October 13th general meeting. · The November general meeting program will be announced at the October 13th general meeting. · The December meeting will be our annual Christmas dinner. The 2008 annual club picnic was held in Stephenson Park, in Edmond on September 13, 2008. It was a rainy day but the shelter house functioned well and even though it was a little gloomy for carving, a good day was had by all in attendance. there were 24 in attendance. The picnic part, always the high light, was enjoyed by all. The most popular dish may have been a desert from Jean Hooper, wife of Dr. James Hooper. At least it got the most "can I have the recipe?", requests. So, here, courtesy of the Hooper's, is the recipe...... |
