In Memory of BILL FYFFE Long time Oklahoma City Wood Carver, Bill Fyffe died April 23, 2009. Bill was a veteran of WWII and the Korean conflict. His obituary was published in the Sunday Oklahoman, April 23, 2009. Bill was a member of IWCS, International Wood Collectors Society. He carved 800 small cowboy boots, each of different woods from all over the world. He was an artist, very intense, focused and meticulous. He always had a word of encouragement for fellow wood carvers and my guess is for all those who knew him. Bill was a much admired member of Oklahoma City Wood Carvers Club. Our sympathy goes out to his wife, Denna Fo and his family and friends. |

Bill conducted the May, 2004 program, Boots by Bill. Bill is seen here, handing out cutouts for boots. Pictured in the upper left are just a few of the exotic wood boots in Bill’s collection. |
